    PROJECT OVERVIEW

The GTEXMex is a research project created by a group of scientific researchers from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), who joined efforts with medical pathologists from the General Hospital of México (GHM) and international researchers to collect tissue samples from post-mortem donors in Mexico. This initiative was created with the intention of giving representation to the Mexican Population in the genomic field and to generate knowledge that helps translate the scientific findings into health benefits. The project has been accepted by the research committees of the GHM and the UNAM and is set to start its pilot phase this year.
